PROFESSIONAL CONTRACT SHOOTING SERVICE

Protecting Biodiversity. Safeguarding Assets. Delivering Measurable Outcomes.
CVPM delivers professional vertebrate invasive pest management, integrated land management, weed spraying and vegetation control services throughout Victoria. We specialise in humane, targeted and evidence-based pest management programs that protect biodiversity, safeguard environmental, agricultural, culturally sensitive and community assets through effective, compliant and outcome-focused management.

Our primary focus is integrated land management, biodiversity conservation, government asset protection, environmental management, damage mitigation, commercial and private asset protection, and livestock protection from the impacts of invasive vertebrate pest species.
We primarily employ ground shooting as our core vertebrate pest control method, complemented by targeted baiting programs for foxes, rabbits, pigs, and wild dogs. Our baiting strategies are carefully planned and implemented to ensure species-specific control, maximise effectiveness, and meet all regulatory requirements.

In addition, we offer soft-jaw leg-hold trapping and cage trapping services for foxes, wild dogs, and invasive pest birds in select areas. CVPM also provides rabbit warren GPS mapping, fumigation, ripping, trail camera deployment and wildlife monitoring to support integrated pest management programs and long-term environmental management outcomes.

Our team consists of licensed and accredited commercial operators who are trained to humanely destroy wild animals and commercially harvest wild game. Each operator is accredited in the Destruction of Wild Animals for Commercial and Non-Commercial purposes, Wild Animal Harvesting and hold the National Shooting Proficiency Accreditation and are commercially insured for all invasive pest animal activities.

CVPM has an Open Public Place Permit Vermin Control and Animal Welfare for roadside and public areas to possess, carry and discharge firearms in public under section 130(3) of the Firearms Act 1996 - Prohibited Weapons Permit - Victorian silencer permit under Section 176, Firearms Act 1996, pursuant to Section 57 Firearms Act 1996.

Monitoring, Reporting & Performance

Effective pest management extends beyond on-ground operations. CVPM incorporates spatial data collection, GPS mapping and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) into our reporting to provide clients with accurate, evidence-based information that supports informed land management decisions.

Project reporting can include GIS mapping, treatment locations, rabbit warren inventories, operational statistics, photographic records, wildlife observations and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), allowing clients to monitor program effectiveness, measure environmental outcomes and plan future pest management activities with confidence.

Safety & Compliance

CVPM operates under comprehensive WorkSafe-compliant management systems and demonstrates compliance through documented Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Risk Assessments, Shooting Plans and SMEACS Plans. Every operation is planned to ensure safety, legislative compliance, animal welfare and environmental protection while delivering professional, measurable outcomes.
